The eight founding members of IPL cricket are the Hyderabad - based on Deccan Chargers, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kalkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Bengaluru Strikers, Rajasthan Royals, Karnataka Dravidians, Tamil Nadu Warriors, Kerala Thunders and Kerala Kings.
The IPL cricket joined the Indian Super League (ISL), India's second-tier professional sports league, in 2011.
